Data Virtue is a Trademark of Sean Kristen Anderson.  All original images and text on this website are Copyright and Trademarks of Data Virtue 2002 - 2007.  Any (infringing) images or names that can be construed as confusing with Data Virtue's images, icons, logos, or software concepts/titles will be aggressively resolved.  All statements made on websites/blogs or in forums will be evaluated for accuracy or defamation.

All software is provided in binary distributions, in other words, no source code.  Ownership of all source code is retained and Copyright Sean Kristen Anderson, Data Virtue in its respective year unless otherwise granted.

Free Software License

The License at this link is the updated license and applies to all Data Virtue Free Software.  By possessing the software (binaries) you agree to the terms, no other action is necessary; denial of license terms is committed by removing the software from your system, acceptance is denoted by leaving the software "installed" or resident on your hard drive or other storage device connected to the computer or in your possession.  "Amendments" by Data Virtue can override certain rights or provide more.  The software is always bound by the updated license; meaning the terms can change at any time.

Free Software Term

I apologize if I have not used the term Free Software the way you think I should.  Significant time and money has been invested in writing the code for these applications.  The reason for "closed source" is to preserve the benefit of use and control to the author for having developed the software and to prevent established companies (competition) from using the code to their advantage.  Ultimately all applications from Data Virtue will be released as Open Source material with an appropriate viral license.
