Invoice Number

If you have to change the invoice number you need to modify the settings.ini file. 

All you need to do is browse your file system (My Computer) to the folder containing Nevitium. 

Example: C:\Program Files\Nevitium 1.0e\data\  

Enter the data  folder and double-click settings.ini to open it in a text editor.

Find this line: NEXT NUMBER=10000 and change the number ONLY.  Save and Exit.

NOTE: The highlighted (selected) .db files (settings.ini excluded) can be deleted at year end (or after several years) to start with a fresh empty invoice database.  Make sure you print reports or backup/export your old data before deleting it.  You are on your own here; you must keep records for seven years.  I DO NOT recommend that you delete settings.ini since it would be inconvenient to reconfigure your settings.

WARNING:
If I allowed you to change the number from within Nevitium it would be very easy to damage the data.  You can still damage the data by playing with this number.  Do not modify this setting unless you know what you are doing!
