Data Export and Safety Backup / Restore The Backup utility compresses the contents of your whole data folder under the Nevitium install directory. When you restore from a backup the whole thing is restored over any existing data. Backups can be set (Settings) to be recorded in up to two locations at once. Backup every day. Basic Export This allows you to export My Connections, Inventory, Invoices and Invoice Payments to comma separated value files. Standard text files readable by human and machine. This can be considered a valid backup of your business data as required by the IRS (tax collection agency). Full export This exports all Nevitium database tables for import into another version of Nevitium. This is a collection of 'comma separated value' (.csv) files wrapped up in a standard ZIP file. This can be considered a valid backup of your business data as required by the IRS (tax collection agency). This feature is for upgrading to future versions of Nevitium where the database (tables) has been changed. Full Import Do not use this utility unless directed to do so by technical support or unless upgrading to a new version which requires this. CSV Text Files Files with a .csv extension are text files (human readable) and are recognized by many applications. These files can be used as data sources for marketing efforts or for sharing data with other applications.
